A chemical engineer with more than five decades of experience, Ronald L. Klaus is currently the Ethiopia Director of Hope in View, Inc., a non-profit organization that promotes spiritual and economic development in the nation. In his role with the organization, Ronald Klaus has made 28 trips to Africa, where he and his wife work to strengthen local churches by educating and mentoring leaders.
Educated in chemical engineering and applied mathematics, Ronald Klaus has worked for companies including Exxon Mobil and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, and has served as assistant professor of chemical engineering and computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2008, he left a position with VAST Power Systems Inc., in order to focus full-time on volunteer work.
In addition to his work with Hope in View, Ron Klaus teaches regularly on the theology of the kingdom of God at the Ethiopia Theological College. He has also taught in seminaries, universities, and Bible schools in Peru, Kenya, Nigeria, and Mongolia.
